I'm a new owner of a 1969 Triple black ( now red ) 350 Ho ,4sp., a/c ,convertible. Original drive train.This is an early Dec. 1968 production car .My "Newby" question is - My car came with the wrong air cleaner. I have been given a correct style base in great condition. The tag on it is Code PP # 6424826 that is white on black like the 67 / 68 cars . I think it is a '69 base .Anyone have any idea what this originally came on. If this will work for my car , is this original tag correct ? This is NOT the 'keep your car all GM 'white sticker ! Lastly , should that air cleaner top have a 350-4 sticker on it ? Do ya have any pics of the air cleaner? I'm not sure of the tag, My convertible's air cleaner doesn't have one. Chrome top w/no stickers either.

I think that looks correct,think thats what mine looked like.... maybe someone will prove me wrong?,of course ,mine wasnt an HO, just a 350 2 barrel.

I gave mine away 4 yrs ago to Rick in Canada...(I`m using a K&N on mine)

If I remember right, the original is a standard black 4bbl with no crome lid

The 350/400/428/455-4 stickers are all aftermarket, they were never fitted on the originals. The PY parts master is currently down, so I can't check the part number on your air cleaner base, however if memory serves me the 350 engines should have the "narrow snout" air cleaner base and a black lid. Chrome lids were only fitted with the 400 option.

I have a lid somewhere with a few dents that I would gladly provide you with. Shipping from this part of the world however, is quite expensive...

I believe I have a 350HO base and lid, and may be interested in a swap. But I have to dig mine out and see what it is first.

will a stock 69 aircleaner fit a holley 750?

I have a narrow snout air cleaner that came on the car. With the breather tube installed the narrow snout fouled my radiator hose because the metal breather hose " clocked ' the breather to far over.With the new cleaner base with the long snout , the air cleaner fits . possibly I have the right air cleaner , but wrong breather tube ? The tube looks original. I'll post better pictures tonight and post a picture of the short snout breather also.Thanks !- i'll also peal the 350-4 sticker off my top !

You should have the same air cleaner base as the 400 air cleaner and no chrome lid. The lid is painted black just like the base and will have the wider snout.

Took better pictures , unfortunately my short snout air cleaner is at my shop. i'll try to post a picture of it on sunday. here they are ; Is this correct if I get rid of the 350-4 decal ?

That looks to be correct other than the "350-4" sticker on top.

Dug up some old pictures, the first one shows a standard 350 air cleaner base with a chrome lid (incorrect combo on my 400 btw)

Second one shows the "wide snout" 400 air cleaner base installed. Was this also used on the 350 HO?

This was my aircleaner that came on the car. the snout is about 5 1/2 inches long.
