Not all springs are the same. Two things must be considered with coil springs. Hight and spring rate. Everything the car came equipped will also effect the springs.
I installed the Hotchkiss - 2 springs along with other front end upgrades on my convertible. Love'em!
They are 'technically' interchangeable. But the same springs will not work on all years or even from one car to another. You need to add the weight factor into the equation. For example; A car with aluminum heads would need a different spring than one with iron heads. A car with air conditioning may need yet another. Convertibles use different springs than coupes. It's all in the weight on them..... Raising and lowering with springs isn't always a good idea. You can change the front end geometry to a point that your steering can get funny. Handling can suffer.
Tom, have you done the relocation thing with your stock a-arms?
No, just poly graphite bushings, new upper and lower ball joints and 1.5" anti sway bar along with the -2" springs. Also I upgraded the rear with new springs and added a rear anti sway bar. This was all topped off with Koni adjustable shocks.
