Is rear original? Is trans original? Carb correct and original? Pans correct and original? Distributor original?
These are rare, hard to find parts and part numbers with the correct dates to the chassis build.
Yes, he does offer a money back guarantee if the car is not as described, but with what is not said or shown, that is somewhat of a gamble. It probably is a correct and original car, but to have possibly purchased the car with the block only and had to piece together the car, the car may have correct parts with incorrect casting dates.
I say 82-85k. Maybe $100k with the correct documented parts.

Why does it seem like there is one for sale on ebay every couple of months? This is a dream car for most of us and it seems like people can't get rid of them fast enough! It's like the stock market, buy, sell, buy, sell! What if we all chip in and share it on the weekends!
Did anyone notice its a zero feedback seller, and is looking for a wire transfer?
Sound a little fishy?

I don't think it's a "phishing" ad, but I also don't think the car is as it should be to bring top dollar. Like the other cars the seller has listed, there are things that are "wrong". Not deal-killers, just enough to take them down a notch.

if you notice the other rare cars the seller has, you can see they are all taken with the same background as the seller mentions he's selling his collection. i'd be a bit weary but wouldn't hesitate to show up with a trailer and cash in hand to ensure the sale went smoothly. if you have that kind of cash sitting around, your not really worried about taking the day off. you'll probably give it to yourself and tell your second you'll see them after the weekend. you'll be too busy cleaning the paint for the weekend show to car about work!!

I ran across one of 69 T/A:s here in Sweden at a car show in August (there is one more, but it has been a race car since early 80:s ans still is).
It was thoruoughly PHS documented with all of the numbers that correct that I could see. Same owner had it since 1974 when he brought it home from the Netherlands. Claims nothing been replaced after that.
However, I too was puzzled as to the fact that there were no stacked gauges and - even more puzzling - no tach. Didn't all T/A:s come with the tach? According to the PHS docs, car was built in the spring of 69.
was that car by chance assembled in Europe? in the Belgium plant? or maybe none of the TA`s were.....but IF it was , maybe that could explain the difference? I would expect a tach on a manual car...
The tach and stacked gages were a separate option. There are quite a few real TA's without them. Back in the day, the racer types liked the add on tach. They usually fastened them to the steering column.

Bjorn, the car was assembled and sold in the US. Otherwise there wouldn't have been any PHS data for it (only cars sold by US dealerships are in that database).
But I don't know the history of it pre-1974. I might call the owner, he lives just north of Stockholm.
Not even rally gauges? a very plane jane TA? Is there such a thing?
Oh yes! In 69 they were advertising 'build it your way'. Many people went for just the exterior 'bling' and nothing else special. And then some wanted performance with no 'bling'. My uncle, that was a foreman at GM in the 60's, always ordered all the performance options without any 'bling' at all. He always had people lined up to buy his used cars.
The tach was still optional, even with a 4-speed. I always thought that was the strangest thing, and that Pontiac would mandate a tach with a manual trans, but go figure. Hood tach not available on Trans Am, stacked gauges were optional.
As for bare bones, I believe there were a couple 69 Trans Am's delivered with poverty caps.
Just got the Classic Industries Catalog yesterday (figured the 2002 Catalog that was in the trunk of my car when I bought it was outdated) and see they are selling a re-popped in-dash tach and stacked gauges in either a 5200 or 5500 redline for $689.98

Oh contraré, many people want Turbo trannys. Some of us are getting old enough for 4spd's. I think you could still get a 3.23 with A/C.
I think on average though, a collector would much rather have a 4 speed and no a/c over an auto and a/c any day. At the Mecum Auction in September a very nice regular RAIII 4 speed car went for 125k, very reasonable I think.
And a friend has a 69 TA with the auto/ac combo and I'm pretty sure it's a 3.08 rear
