This weekend it's supposed to be low 60's and sunny. I'll have the garage doors open, radio blaring and working on the Birds. Race car gets the Floor pan installed, solid subframe bushings installed and front sheetmetal removed. Windshield and Steering column are out, everything is prepped. If I get all that done, at least the pan tacked in, I'll be painting parts for the 428 Car since it'll be warm enough to paint outside now. Sure could use about 2 helpers, beer is cold, weather is warm. Got dash wiring to do, door panels to install, etc...
Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
Jim not to hijack the thread, but are you putting on the top yourself!??? I'm just about there as well, but was going to farm it out....probably still should 'cept for the bucks...
My Vert is gonna need a top as well, I think Jim should set up the video camera while he does it for our educational purposes. Be good for a laugh and maybe learn some new words too.

I'll take some pictures. I figured since I have a good pattern, the other vert, right there to compare, I will eventually get it right. I'm at the weather stripping stage right now. I still have to install the new tack strips.
Yah. It was up to 60 here last week. But it was 20 degrees yesterday if you count the wind chill. That's kind of cold. Especially if you compare it to Myrtle Beach.
It's beutiful down here guy's!!! Just wishing I did'nt have to work so darn much. I really wish I had my bird down here!!!!! Was told there are not too many of them down this way.
Actually, I pefer not to have helpers--guess it's left over from the professional aspect. Some things, like installing windsheilds and backglasses, I cannot do with a helper beacause it's like two brains trying to walk one body.
Other than the wife helping when I need an extra hand I pretty much do everything by myself. The only help I needed this weekend was getting the hood off and getting the full floor pan physically in the car. The front sheetmetal and subframe wasn't that hard by myself.
Sometimes though it would be nice to have someone to help, hang out and talk to. Doubt I'd get anymore done, but probably wouldn't work quite as hard. I'm beat after this weekend. Had to stop mid day Saturday and go pick up my block and heads. Wasn't expecting them until later this week but they called.
