Whilst browsing around a new hobby i may enter to appease my mid-life crisis laugh , i found a forum that is apparently generously helped/supported financially by Ebay when you click on the Ebay banner present in the forum. As much as many of us dislike Ebay for it's faults, at the end of the day most of us do use it and quite frequently and if Ebay still doles out the cash to forums it may be a feasible way to help Geoff out with his fees for this great Forum.I know some will say to either donate or purchase from the FGF online store but why not look at other alternatives.Just a thought, if i crossed a line by mentioning this, my apologies.
Here is the sticky i copy and pasted:
Three things that don't normally go together !

OK we all know how much Ebay sucks [censored]. We also know that a big part of all these lurkers on AK hitting our server hard is Epayers trying to find prices on their "rare and mint" garbage sale find.

So whats this got to do with the price of tea in China ?

I'm going to tell you !

See that revolving banner at the top of the page. Well one of those banners is a Ebay banner. Also there is a permanent one at the bottom of the page. I pretty much refuse to ever sell on ebay again and i know some of you do to. But this is where the banner comes in. We all need parts for our precious restorations and unfortunately sometimes ebay is the ONLY place to get them. Well if you click on the banners on AK to take you to ebay Audiokarma will get a few bucks if not more.

This is how it works. For every new member who signs up with fleabay through our link AK gets $12.00. Now once you have a new ebay name bid on ANY item. Once your bid is place AK gets 12 bucks. OK OK so heres the freaking cool part. You don't even have to win in order for AK to get the 12 bucks. Yup thats right !!!

Again anytime your in the market to buy ANYTHING on fleabay click the banner to get to ebay. Do your buying and then Audiokarma gets 40% of the sellers fees. On small items it ads up fast and with big items its even better. Say your buying that 100.00 receiver on ebay. well the seller gives ebay roughly 10 bucks for selling it there. Ebay in turn gives Audiokarma 4.00. Cost no one anything except ebay.

If you ever thought about donating to AK but have not and are a fairly frequent buyer on ebay then this is your chance to kill two birds at once. You get what you were going to buy anyways and AK gets a few bucks. How cool is that !

If this program were utilized by even a small fraction of our members then we wont have to hold funds drive. So why not make ebay pay for AK. Its about time them blood sucking bastards gave something back to this site that helped form and drive the market on used equipment !

I've often wondered about this..... Now this is funny!; I heard about some local kids that took videos of their parents in bed(hidden camera). They set up a web site with the videos. They apparantly made money hand over fist when they presented the web site to advertisers. They said the advertisers didn't care about the site contents, just the 'hits'. The advertisers paid 'per hit' on their ad links. Just a few cents per 'hit'. But I guess it added up. One computer kid had a bunch of computer equipment set up in his parents basement. His dad wondered why it had to be on all day while the kid was in school.
