Someone broke into the place where I've been restoring my 69 convertible yesterday or last night and stole a bunch of parts off of it. They knew what they were after and left my tools and other stuff behind. Here's a list of the stuff that was stolen, so if any of you see it pop up on ebay or for sale from someone in Florida (I'm near Orlando) let me know. Here's what they got at least what I can tell from a quick inventory.

sorry to hear about that steve.if you need to replace those parts i would give you a discount on the surrounds, wheels, manifold, and i have a new 4bbl q jet.i will also check with some of the venders i know to see if anybody is trying to pawn off some parts.
From a first hand experience, other than your parts, what else was taken? Were all of the parts new, look new or worth money? Chances are slim that it was a select, targeted theft.
As far as the theft at someone else's business, you DO NOT claim any of this on your insurance. Since your vehicle was in possession of another party, they are FULLY liable for any theft or damage.
The business where your car was has to reimburse you fully and totally. Their insurance police will cover your entire loss, not adjusted loss, actual loss. If it does not, you can and should file a motion for the balance from that business.

Call the cops!!!! Really, you gotta do that first. Unless you want to 'lay in wait' and call them(cops) when you have them(perps) nibbling on the cheese... That's the only way to get rid of the 'rats'.
I agree, call the cops. I am pretty sure there is no insurance coverage without a police report.

Not really...Hear me out.
Vehicle was in posession of a repair or restoration company. During that time, if any damage or theft occurs, THEY ARE LIABLE. They (business) is the only entity making the police report as per their insurance coverage is inclusive. The owner does not need, nor is required to make a police report if the business is making a police report with inclusive and detailed entries of who owned property that was taken.
The business is the PRO (person reporting offense) and complainant if the business suffered loss as well. The vehicle owner (s) will be complainant 1, complainant 2, etc. tied into the SAME police report, not a seperate report with another number. If he gets a seperate police report number other than the business making the report (number) The insurance claim will become drastically compromised and liability wise? Better stick with business making report with your vehicle info, VIN, what was taken, owners name, repair invoice number, length of time on premesis...etc.
Trust me..allow the business to report it on their carrier and their police report number. If you have to file suit to be made whole, do so. If he or anyone files a claim on their insurance, even if another parties fault, your insurance, classic insurance will go up and your insurance score factor will drop (depending on insurance company). You file a claim that was not your fault, plan on paying about 5-15% more per year on your premium.
If the business is uninsured, underinsured, unlicensed..etc and not willing or unable to pay for the loss incurred, then he should file a police report detailing that fact.
You do not want to file an insurance claim on your policy!
