What do you think about us first gener's getting together sometime/someplace next year

I agree, and that's why I asked whether anyone was planning to go on the Hot Rod Power Tour. Not much of a response though.

Another idea would be to get together at the Aimes Tripower Nationals at Norwalk Raceway Park in August.

Or the POCI convention.

I think it would be a great idea. Location would be the main issue. No mater where it is it will be to far away for some.

Kansas City, MO is about the "center" of the country and Lower Canada. I'm willing to push my Bird that far.

I have to put a motor in my bird this spring and I plan on attending the Ames Tri-power national's.It's only about 6-7 hour's from me.Alot farther for the California folk's

I think I'll have to hit up the Power Tour in Ft Worth. Was up there in October for the Good Guys Lone Star Nationals. Lotta nice cars, only about 3 Firebirds, only 1 first gen that I saw. Must have been a couple hundred cameros though.

Sounds like a great idea, but as someone said it all depends where it will be. I'm good to go anytime for a cruise but the bird eats 94 octane like candy after building a 455 street/strip for it last winter. Would trailer it if over any reasonable mileage. It would be nice to see all those birds together. Lets kick the idea around and see what happens.

sounds like a cool idea to me. i'm in ca though and i only get 6 or 7 mpg in my bird!
i will be passing the hat around for gas funds! lol. j.k.

If people are interested in meeting in Kansas City I may be able to help out with things. I'm part of the KC Arrowheads chapter of POCI here & will mention to the folks in the club to see if they are willing to work with us on it. Some great cruise spots & show locations are here. Several members own FGF's so interest may be there. Let me know!

Gary,I was going to go but I bought a fifth wheel and had to take the family camping and would'nt you know it had to be that weekend.I told the wife I will be going this year.I probably won't be going to the show in G. Rapids in January. I'm not much for car shows without swap meets.I know it's a way's off but maybe we could follow each other down or something.

A FirstGen get together in Joplin would be great! I am not sure how many persons here are POCI members? But I would like to see all that are interested to contact me, as we are currently working on ideas/details for the Convention. (any input?) Tenative plans include a cruise to a local eatery...

It doesn't matter if you are a member of POCI or not, we can get together regardless of membership to any club. Joplin would be a great place to have a get together. Sounds like fun!

It's just a 4 hour drive for me!! Think of all the fun you will have driving your cars here, unless you have 3.90's in the back!!
