i am in the process of getting parts and decals rounded up for my engine rebuild in my 67, my question is when i got the car it had the engine displacement decal on the air cleaner(it said 326 2)which is what the car has, is that decal suppose to be there or did a previous owner had it. i know the 400s had it but not sure about the 2 barrel 326s.

Good question t/a. I wonder about that to. The thing I notice is people put those in the wrong location most of the time. They put them toward the outer lip, when they need to be put closer to the center of the lid.
thanks vicki thats is what i thought but wanted to be sure

Here is a peek under the hood of my 326/2. Air Cleaner info repro sticker is in the same location of the original silk screen. Not sure if mine came with the "Keep your Gm car all GM". I put it where I thought it looked best, as I have seen it in several location on various 326 I've seen out there.
Coolant info sticker is also in the same location on Rad support as the original, but I have also seen it on fillers on AC cars.
thanks for the pic, looks awsome, i hope mine will look that good when i get it done i will be sure to post pics.

This is one of those items that people always "claim" are supposed to be or are/were on the car originally. In fact, I just had a guy last night at Old Town cruise night and he insists that all Pontiac engines had the stickers on the air cleaners. Naturally I let him beleive he was right...
