In the Super Bowl thread, Jim posted a link for a Three Dog Night tune. Of course that got a chat about the old 3DN 45's we use to, or still do own. I guess I trashed all my 3DN 45's. I think it was Joy to the World. I found a few rare 45 hits...
and my all time favorite Rock & Roll yodeling tune...
Takes me back... wish I'd kept all those records. I must have bought 3 Pink Floyd and Niel Young albums when my roommates would scratch them up. My first car had an 8-track, and I'm thinking about investing in a very high quality recorder. I have some blank tapes, so I could record my newer music and listen to it in the car.
I just bought a 4 speaker stereo speaker set up out of a 69 Bird being parted out. What I really wanted were the kick panels and speaker grills, so I'll prolly use the wiring harness/kick panels/grill covers, but just upgrade the old speakers. How hard is it to have old speakers re-coned? Also, if you had 4 speaker stereo in a convert, where did the rear speakers go?

My buddy has a juke box in his game room and says there are places on the web that you can have 45s made for any song. He's a big Floyd fan so he's got a few of those in da box already.
Oh yea, big Pink Floyd here! I have every LP they did, and most have been bought as CD. I lost interest when The Wall debuted. Roger Waters was getting to deep. I'm glad they split, and David Gilmour took the band in a different direction. There was talk of a reunion and tour of the States. I was fortunate to see the Animals tour. It's the crown jewel in my ticket stub collection.
I bought some coasters for a christmas gift that were made from the centers of 33's. They were all different and very cool. It came with a chip bowl that was a formed 33 into the bowl shape.
I remember that tour in '77. Never went but wish I had. I had classmates that went.
Funny story about a show they did in Hamilton, Ontario in 1975 on the Wish You Were Here tour (there's a famous bootleg of that concert). They played Ivor Wynne Stadium (an outdoor stadium) and managed to shoot a rocket that was part of the show right through the scoreboard. City council banned rock shows at the stadium for a very long time after that.
It ain't a party 'til something gets broken.

The old Cleveland Stadium was buzzed by there private jet. The lead in music was Meddle; then you start to hear a roar. The nose of the jet appeared at the open end of the stadium behind the stage. After the jet passed over the stadium Floyd came out on stage. The jet was close enough to see the seams in the skin of the jet. Something I'm certain the FAA had a look into. You couldn't do that these days.
