im moving my post to tech help.. from parts wanted .. sorry this is my first series of posts.

as you can see the holes next to the body bushing in the front dont line up on either side. there is an extremely large gap between the firewall and the trany. this is a 455 in this car.

Here are a few pics of '67 fronts. See if you have all the pieces shown. 400 cars have a couple of extra fillers between the radiator and the bumper, but they don't affect alignment.

You may have the wrong engine frame mounts. Possibly OHC6 mounts. How do the trans tailshaft and shifter line up? How much clearance between the water pump and radiator?
