I really hate it when people can't seem to bother using the directional lights. Almost every day I run the risk of crashing my car into some moron changing lanes without properly advertising it. Actually, these days people seem to use their horns more than the blinkers...
When I traveled to Long Island to pick up the bench seat from Rocky, I kept seeing signs stating it's a State law to use your turn signal. I was surprised that most all complied getting from NJ over to LI,NY in heavy traffic. If someone cut you off, at least they signaled their intent.
I do and dont use signal...I determine if needed in ea situation...if cars are way off, why do it...or if no cars, why do it...if close by ,I signal...just use 'common sense' ...
Drive 14 miles one way to work. Some stretches are 3-5 miles between lights. So mine would have to be the SAME drivers going 55 in a 55 all the way back and fourth in the LH lane even when theres no cars in the RH lane...EVERY DAY!
As a former driving instructor I can tell you that signaling isn't always for the car that you can see ...
I tried to get a left lane bandit to move over to the right lane, pointing at the "Slower Traffic Keep Right" signs as we drove by, finally messed with his mind by signaling that his speedometer was reading 10 mph too slow (it wasn't)!

You're probably right, Dave, I never thought of that. I need to change my attitude LOL

Brent , I mean that when you`re by yourself on the road....or in cases you come up upon a slower car...you signal left , as you pull out behind him to pass, you pass , maybe 15 mph faster...then I may not signal as I go back....its "expected " that you go back to your lane...imo... but also imo, its useless as some do ,turn the signal on at the same time as they turn...too late...at that point you already know the car is turning ,that what I mean by "the right to turn signal"...
or people that as you approach them at 15 , 20 mph faster ,they just turn the signal on and pull out in front of you.... I learned in driving school (1960) that faster traffic has the right of way...you dont just pull out into faster traffic..you wait, then pull out after they pass...
imagine an American driver with that habit on Autobahn...he`d get killed by the guy in the left lane coming at 150mph...
Oh yeah! And the ones that wait until you are right behind them then slam on the brakes, put their blinker on and turn.... It's 'blinker first then brakes'! We have a unique sort of folks around here(I think). Ever heard of a 'farmer turn'? Four lane road, major highway so you are going fast, as you go by someone turning right, they do this little whip over to the left just before they turn right. AHHHH!! It's supposed to be because they are so used to driving tractors, that you have to turn like that, that they do it when they drive their trucks and cars too. You can spot them because of the dents all down the drivers side of the vehicle.
Ya, especially the ones who watch you coming from an 1/8 mile away before pulling out just before you reach them.
EXCACTLY! and you have to slam your brakes....and wait 5 minutes before they get by the vehicle they are passing by 1/2 mph faster....
this is where I think with no speed limits people are forced to learn to figure out "differences of speed" better....same for oncoming traffic on two lane highways...
I've had too many people not signal when changing lanes or turning, causing me to either delay what I'm doing or going to do or take evasive action. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone but most times I've noticed that their attention seems to be elsewhere and they didn't think that signaling would matter - and it didn't, to the car they had their attention on. That's what bugs me!
Not to worry, soon we won't be allowed to drive at all!
For me, its the 5,000 young guys here between the age of 16-30 that own some variation of a modern era under-powered but loud Mustang, and they all just have to try and mess with my bird on the highways and by-ways around Nashville.
Very irritating, and it happens all friggin day around here! I used to chase them down like Varmits, but now its so old I just ignore their ignorance.
How can FORD be losing money when every third car on the highway is a 195HP Mustang??!!

here is how I view signaling. When I am sitting in traffic and there is someone waiting to get out of a parking either going with me in traffic OR the other way, if they have their turn signal on they get out. If they aren't using it, I drive by them and don't invite them out in front of me under any circumstance. It annoys me no end when they dont use it.

When someone wants to buy a part from you and you agree to wait because they are having money problems and you wait and wait and wait and wait without a word ever spoken so you finally give up on the person.

People who don't clean the snow off their vehicles. You can't see any lights at all. Are they turning ? stopping ? or just trying to make others guess as to their intentions. Also, people who are physically fine but always park in the handicap spots. I have a handicap license for my vehicles (for transporting the mother-in-law), but I NEVER park in a handicap spot unless she is with us.
E-bay gripe: No reserve auctions with no Buy it now, but the opening bid is more than it's worth. Guess they really don't want to sell it. You see no bidders and it's listed again the following week.
The media: Not letting up until they can bring somebody down, guilty of something or not.
Politicians: Pick something, anything.
Drivers: Any on cell phones. Pacing the car beside them and blocking all traffic from passing. Signals? Not allowed on cars around here, dealers unhook them I think.

Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
Not remembering oil drain plug socket size after 10 years and 50 oil changes.
Which reminds me.... I change the oil in four GM vhicles. They have four different filters, three different oil viscosities, three different capacities, and either three or four different drain plug nut sizes.
I have paid thru Pay-Pal for a part the next day. Waiting for them to give pos. feedback. Oh No they wait to hold your score hostage. Till you give them pos feedback. Yes this is what the Firebird part wholesaler was doing. I think that got a few of our members POd also. Sorry if already listed.

Bill, Did you see that they are changing the rules? The seller will not be able to leave feedback at all soon. This makes it so the buyer can be 'more open minded' with the feedback comments, without fear of retribution.
