hey guys i was taking my engine apart to paint the engine and i lost the water pump pulley I dont know where to buy another pulley for my water pump, do you guys have any idea where i can go. I went to autozone and they said they dont sell any pulleys. What anyone in the los angeles area would have one lying around that they can sell to me??? Please let me know

That may be trcky... I think it was GJ who had tried about 5 different pulleys till he got the right one. But I hope you only need a basic one...

If you assemble everything loosely, check to see if you'll need a single or double groove. Then there are different diameter pulleys, but you should be able to make most any of them work...

Brett forgot to mention that there are different length pulleys as well as different diameters. I can help you if you have an 11 bolt water pump and you need a two-groove pulley. If you have an 8-bolt pump, then I think GJ Pierce has four or five. He's in Nevada, near Reno.

I do have an XN 68 bird single groove, blasted and painted..ready to go. But is for car without power steering.

I used a chrome deep water pump pulley from the auto parts store.....box said it was a double groove Chebby pulley, but it worked great and added a little flash to go with the chrome valve covers and air cleaner lid.

Didn't forget to mention it Q, I just didn't want to get into just how many variations there could be, and in any way discourage Gabriel... Like GJ's problem, he went through about 5 of them before finding just what he needed...

I haven't posted in awhile but I do have a few pulleys. I will sale them to you for the cost of shipping. If you have any idea what you need let me know. I went through the same problems you are having. Be sure to measure the pulley offset in relation to the other pulleys.
