I was checking out the online car show today and found a car that seems to be a virtual clone to my FGF. Color, engine, power top, custom interior, power windows etc. I sent an email to this member hoping to get a response. I wonder if anyone has found a car that was a complete clone to their own FGF?

Close, except it has a bench seat and passenger side mirror, everything else is exactly the same.

All but the color of the convertible top, and one with auto, one 4 speed, built virtually the same time.

Seen a couple, but usually the interior is a different color while the top and exterior are the same.

I found a first gen owner(on this site) that has the exact Birthday as me...day, month and year. So maybe I found the clone..... Or am I the clone? Or are we both clones? Is a birth certificate a valid build sheet?

There were quite a few built around the same time(week) as mine, including those yellow ones Vikki mentioned, but no other 'black sheep'.

Never seen or heard of one like mine in all the years I've owned it. There always seems to be some major difference when I come across a '68 solar red convert.
The red interior, AC, 400HO, and TH400 always differentiate them even before getting to the other options.

I think the two original options on mine that set it apart are the cruise and tilt. You don't see many with the cruise and only a handful with tilt...

Check out these two, built a week apart to boot. One auto, one 4 speed. Both Meridian Turquoise, Turquoise custom interior (one with wrong interior now). One changed to white top, one built with white top. Both factory 400 cars. One has front antenna, other rear.

My friend Paul who has a car "just like mine"...69 red w black but no 400 hood, was one day parked at a shop, came back out and some stranger asked him:" did you buy that from that 'Sweden' guy"? LOL guess he had met me before with my car...

Yes, I agree those are the best possible hood ornaments one could get.
If you put Bjorn's "old" car in between those cars and painted it white, the turn signals would all morph together....
