One of my power top actuators in leaking fluid around the fitting at the top....so I need to pull the actuator out. It looks pretty simple to unbolt. Is there anything I should be aware of before removing it??? If I have to diconnect the lines, are there any tricks to keep from losing too much fluid??
This is uncharted territory for me so any advice is greatly appreciated.
Dave, go get the latest copy of High Performance Pontiac, they have an article on replacing the rams. It is not the most complete article, but will give you most of the info you need on replacing it and refilling the system.
Other than that, just try to take all the precautions you can to prevent the fluid from going all over... (not a whole lot should be expelled, but you don't want it on anything that will show)
