Higher RPM performance is improved when used with the new Flame-Thrower®II super low resistance (0.6 ohms) 45,000 volt coil, however, it is compatible with any induction coil.
I just put the petronix II on my car and went with the .6 ohm coil,ignitor....45,000 volts. The petronix I requires the 3. ohm one which is the stock ohms on a regular coil. I called petronix and they explained that to me... Regap your plugs also 40-45. Pretty easy job on the ohc 6. The ohc cammer 6 web page has a great pictoral on the installation..... Ron

I talked to Pertronix as well. The guy told me that with the ignitor II the smaller the ohms the better the system. I just put in this 60K volt .45 ohm coil, regapped to .41, the response on the car was amazing.
