Anyone know if I can substitute another Glove Box Lock Escuteon? I have the latch but it's a little rough and the Escuteon threads are shot. Would a 67-68 work? I an tired of having a wire wrapped up around the hand grip.

So far I have not found a Glove Box Lock Escuteon for a 69 bird, however I see that Classic does have one for 67-68 any idea if these work. Maybe one for a GTO?

67-68 Firebird will not work. The GTO would probably have a longer latch arm...

I bought from NPD and it worked good for my 69 a few years ago.

I PUT A 68 DOOR ON A 69 AND IT FIT GREAT WITH THE 68 LOCK AND CATCH

I put a 68 glove box door (with the bird) on my 69....because I found one with out dents (mine had)plus a lock WITH a key (mine didnt) and I always liked that bird, plus it was the correct color....
