1967 Firebird Convertible 400 ???

Is there any # or markings on a 67 COnvertible to tell whether the car is a original 400 car or not. The car does have the factory Tach on the hood anything else to look for I am not familiar with the Firebirds. Thanks

Wayne, yes , on the data plate on the firewall (bottom left of data plate) there is a group of numbers . To be a real 400 it has to have a (3F) .

Thanks I know the first generation Camaro's real well but nothing about the Firebirds. This car will be for sale on this site in a few days just trying to find out some information before I list the car. Thanks

Jim, Do you kn ow of any other tag analizers. My tag seems to have a couple of numbers/letters that aren't on the list.

It's a Van Nuys car. Most of them have "extras" on the tag.

There is one digit missing, part of the 0D string. Should be 10D.

Mine has extra numbers and letters as well that I never knew what they were for. I should post a picture of mine on here too. I decoded what I could of the tag, but have no idea what the rest is for. Ill try to get a picture of my tag up this weekend as well.

67 are different. You can usually get all the info off a 67 tag.
