Anyone know what color the dipstick tube on a TH400 tranny is supposed to be - silver or black?

Some day I'm going to write a restoration book that lists color and sheen for every part on the First Gens.

Same as trans pan and flex plate cover on 2 of mine...med sheen black. Have 2 from mid 70s that are teal.

I told him I couldn't imagine that.

LOL, they do great work on daily drivers and summer showcars. And they are a very stable crew that really works together, mostly just the two guys Tom and Randy in the shop, and Sam in the office.

I have two or three cars headed his way this year.
