We pulled this out of the 68 yesterday, but I don't know if it's the original. I can't seem to find any numbers to match it up with. Can anyone help with the ID?

As you are looking at the differential from the rear there should be a 2 letter ID stamped on the left side of the axle and also on the left brake drum. Here's a breakdown:

Ratio - STD Diff. - Lock. Diff.(2 pinion)

2.56 - XB - ZB

2.78 - XC - ZC

2.93 - XD - ZD

3.08 - XE - ZE

3.23 - XF - ZF

3.36 - XG - ZM (4 PINION)

3.55 - XH - ZN (4 PINION)

3.90 - ZP (4 PINION)

4.33 - ZR (4 PINION)
