My mom is from Australia and always told me she only dated the guys who had a BSA, Triumph, or an MG. I found this modified 69 Triumph for sale, just can't justify buying it, since all my money is tied up paying off the house. It just looks so good! Sold my Buell to get the Firebird and I miss my bike rides. Now I have a pocket bike that a friend gave me that I ride up and down the street. frown

I WENT FROM THIS(tops out at 155mph)

to this (tops out at 30mph going down hill with wind pushing!)

Find a way to buy it. It looks sweet. I have always loved the Brit bikes. One day I will get a Triumph chopper. I now have A Suzuki 1500LC and enjoy riding the back roads on a hot summer day.

I sold my 750 Maxium years ago, I still miss it sometimes. I think once you have a bike, in the back of your mind you'll always want a bike.
Triumphs are cool, my riding buddy had a Moto Gussi custom.

lol, I had a 1954 BSA 650 Gold Flash when I was 17 (loooong ago!)...(had to be 18 for it in Sweden), parents didnt even know I had it....no license, no reg. no insurance....but thats a different story...
it was a former racer...great fun....
only had it 3 months....the law was coming looking for me, so I sold it...got back to a moped...lol..(someone had complained, but wasnt sure who owned it) it had no kill switch , I killed it by letting the clutch out with front wheel against the wall!
hid it in the bicycle garage in our apt building...1/2 flight down from the side walk (downtown Stockholm) and had to start it down there (couldnt push it up the stairs) and drive it up the stairs , landing past the side walk...LOL

had 5 moped growing up, then a Vespa scooter, then after I had cars , got more MC`s...only one more street bike though, the rest ,about 15 of them were dirt bikes...Yamahas, Hondas, Kawasakis, Husquarnas, KTMs...

I had a Triumph Trident back in the mid 70's, loved the sound of that triple wound out wink

Go for it, those Triumph twins sound awfully good too!

That Triumph is sweet. When I was a kid I always wanted a 60's Bonneville. Settled for a Honda 400 2-banger.

If I buy the Triumph it would be my 4th street bike, 2 cruisers (Honda & Kawasaki pos) and the Buell crotch rocket. Buell had all the racing upgrades, not officially street legal, endless torque so it would pop wheelies all by itself. It got very light at about 150 mph but it was a rush, only weighed about 385 lbs plus me at 145 lbs. It sounded like a HD with straight pipes and would set off car alarms and rattle windows. It had 92 hp and 68 ft.lbs of torque at stock and with the upgrades it put it at about 110 hp and 80 ft.lbs of torque! Lots of fun and scary at the same time.

This is pretty much what I look like on the pocket bike. grin laugh

When is the last time you saw a Wright-Cyclone running much less on a BIKE! DANG that balls to ride that! Or a screw loose!

I'd rather see a rust bucket on the road, than a
garage queen anytime!!

It was FREE, so I just abuse it. I would never pay $300 for a new one or even $50 for a used one! It's just the modern answer to the old mini bike of the 70's like my brother had when I was little. Similar to this one -

Those are the old days for me, got the Buell when I was 25, and was involved with the girl of the month club with a few stalkers in between! It's all over now, married, but no kids and house will be paid off in less than 3 years! And I'm only 30!!! Then I can restore the bird and buy all the toys I want!
