Thanks for posting the pic Bjorn! The military NET here won't let me post photos to this site for some reason.
Anyways, alls well here in Afghanistan (OEF). I'll be bouncing back and forth between here and Iraq (OIF) for a while visiting troops and checking on the equipment we've been sending them.
Best wishes to all.

Good luck there. We just lost two of our boys in Afghanistan. One was the son of our general, who had only been appointed Commander in Chief the previous day. Some first day, loosing your own son...
I will be hoisting a few Shiners, Negro Modellos, Red Stripes, and St.Paulie Girls this week at the Pate Swap Meet at Texas Motor Speedway. I will do it all in honor of you. I'll be headed out in a couple hours.
Thanks gang, I'll stay safe and be back cruising as soon as I can.
Wouter, that incident (death) you mentioned is a horrible story here. The father had literally JUST given his acceptance speech, and a few hours later was given the news of his sons death. Some here say the son may have been specifically targeted by local Taliban, but your intel folks say it was just terribly bad coincidence.
Such a sad story. Thank you to your country for helping us here.

Security I imagine. The cost of being at war these day. Indeed, be safe and arrive back here in one piece. Like GTOken I'll raise a glass in your honor.
Alls well here, need to stay just a bit longer to finish some business along the border with Pakistan! Soldiers, Airmen, Navy and Marines are ALL kicking butt here in Afghanistan.
I'm sending a photo to Bjorn so he can post it for me (since I can't on this MIL network). Thanks to all for continued thoughts and prayers.

Bjorn, your killing me here... were stuck in Junuary in Seattle...
B!

Glad to know all is well. As for modern wepons, a while ago, I posted a picture of a standard-ussue Ethopian weapon of the 60's--a hand forged spear head. With that, they ain't doing bad in Afganistan.
John, is Afganistan similar to Pakistian? One my places of visit when I was a kid. Out of all the thrid world places in which I spent my formitive years (I came back to America with the notion that a 'gentelmen' of any upbringing always faced away from the street and would pee against the building, not facing the street, pissin in the drainage ditch) Karatchi was the biggest, super shithole in the world.
Amervo, I don't know you nor have I ever met you. However, your posts crack me up from time to time because your either slamming someone, something or someplace and you pretty much just say whatever you are thinking. So at the very least you provide some entertainment... LOL
Almost done with business here, should head back to the U.S. shortly.
BTW, Obama (not Osama) and his entourage just came through here a few hours ago. We were too busy to stop our work and do any "meet-n-greet", but there were plenty of soldiers/civilians out on the tarmac waving at his jet.
Now...If McCain stops by while I'm here I will certainly drop what I'm doing and try and shake his hand; his time as a POW in Vietnam can never be replaced or paid back.

Glad all is well with you. I am with you 100% with McCain and his service to our country. ANYONE who serves our country is a true Patriot, thank you all for your service!
