I pulled off the RH fender and wheelwell to blast it and also to get at the heater hose. (A/C car) The original clamp was on there, I am 99% sure this area has never been touched. So was the heater hose a recessed rib style like all the catalogs say? Nope. The hose has 3 raised ribs. Unless the dealer worked on it and used a tower clamp, that's what it came with!

I have a '67 engine with the original hoses and clamps and lines, saw the same.

Not the first time the prevailing information is just plain wrong...

I still have the original radiator hose(s) or what's left of them.

Here's a pic of one of the hoses on my '67. This end had the clamp replaced; most of the other clamps were tower.
