Thanks Jim. I thought so. What about the rear end width, is it the same?
Are the guide holes to mount the front subframe the same also?
I think I may be able to get this set-up from this guy pretty cheap (which is why I'm asking this stuff). Maybe $800 for the shell (no front end - at all), the subframe (with disc brakes) and the rear with no engine, tranny, but has most of interior parts (including complete dash).
Body is fairly rust free (surface stuff is all I can see).
Yah. All the mounting points are exactly the same. A pro would know the difference in some things put most people wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. That's a steal! You could make money off the parts or have a cheap start to a car project.
I've got a 69 rear end in my 67. The only problem is that the 67 shocks are not staggered but the 69 mounting plates are for staggered shocks. I used 67 plates and it worked OK. Or you can use the traction bars that replace the mounting plates - that's the way my car was when I got it.
I've got a 67 bird with a 65 motor, 69 rear end, 69 front discs, and a mystery chevy orange muncie.
I'm gonna go check it out today, thanks for all the help. My wife will probably kill me (especially since I'm just finishing my 9er). Maybe I could stay with one of you guys.
