Wouldn't you be fat if all you had to do is sell one for that price?? Heck I bet some of 'em couldn't set up a set of points, BUT they dang sure can tell you how much it would cost (being that they'd have-to-pay some one to do it.) Those cars at those high dollar auctions are nothing but some persons INVESTMENT.... not a car dude or dudette by any means. Along with the guy who has three at home but needed that fourth one to round out the color choices for that year! IHATE THAT. You want to impress me.... buy it and drive it!

It was interesting to watch Reggie Jackson's beautiful highly optioned blue '69 Z/28 go unsold. He's so picky they had to push it on and off the stage. He also looked a bit pissed no one wanted it.
I had a real '69 Z back in '79 but it was stolen 3 weeks after I bought it. Got it for $6500 back then with an M-21, 4.10 12-bolt and 302. Wonder what it would be worth now?
