Saturday May 18th, my Daughter, her Boyfriend and I decided to head out to Ocean City Maryland for a HUGE!!!! Car Show. I was considering taking my 69 as it's a little over 2 hours away. But then decided at the last minute not to take it, and we took my Daughters KIA instead. As luck would or would not have it, we were involved in an accident in the center of the car show festivities, while getting ready to turn into a parking lot where my Friend Bill Bolins GTO was, a Car slammed into us from the rear, slaming us into another car, and a 4th hitting the one who hit us. We were taken to a Hospital, the KIA taken to a service center, un drivable, we suffered whip lash of our backs and necks, I also bruised my left knee and my right hand, but we did wear seat belts and will be ok. The KIA didn't fare as well BRAND NEW it's my Daughters, will be transported back to PA tomorrow. So this could have been my 69 and much worse.

Glad to hear you're relatively unscathed, the KIA is replaceable/repairable.

well, it was only a KIA=Killed In Action car, but YOU guys, hope you are ok! no future damage....

what about the other 3 cars?

The girl who hit us refused treatment at the scene, she told police she never saw us yet had been behind us for about 6 blocks All 4 cars were damaged but only ours and hers were towed, all were from another State as well. We from PA, the Girl from Delaware, the car in front of us Virginia and the last car Maryland. The other drivers were not hurt to our knowledge. They were out of the cars taking pics and making calls.

Very glad YES!!!! I know it's "just a car" but I would have gone ballistic, and that girl would have definately gone to the hospital in an ambulance I'm very attatched to my 69.

It would be my guess that she was either on her phone and or sending a text messsage. These youngs kids, sorry but maily girls, are always on their phones and texting, which in my opinion is worse that talking!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you are ok and your Bird too. Who is her insurance company? I felt a shot of pain in my back reading this.

Just back from the Dr's Miranda and I both scheduled for Spinal X Rays tomorrow.

~Johnny...We weren't allowed to have any info on any of the other Drivers, Miranda's insurance Co. got the Police report from the Ocean County Maryland Police and all we got was a claim # so we can start the ball rollin to get the KIA fixed, medical etc. Maryland Laws are different I guess. All 4 cars involved are from different States.

Glad to hear it wasn't as bad as it could have been... all considering. Hope it turns out ok in the end... Could have bee much worse...

Been there, still dealing with the result of the injuries from a drunk driver some 20 years later.

are you kidding me? a few years ago my wife took my company pick-up to Wal-Mart, it had a pushed in front bumper from a back hoe at the time. They announce over the loud speaker in Wal-Mart my company name and ask the driver to come to the front. There is a cop and some person claiming she hit her car and demanded our insurance information. My wife was pissed but still had to give up the info on demand.
