So I blasted my wheels, painted them silver and got the masking kit. It doesn't line up for crap but I can get past that. What's the trick to masking off the outer ring of the wheel center? It's only about 5/16" wide. I can't lay tape on there anywhere near straight. I was thinking about some thick flexible substance like foam rubber or some type of trim molding?? I can't be the first person to try this... DJ

It took me awhile but if you use short overlapping peices of masking tape you can cover it. I also used a exacto knife (very carefully) to cut the rounded interior curves. And if there is any bleeding I touched up later.
I'm in the same boat of buying those POS masking kits. So far I've found vinyl pin stripe sticks the best, and is very flexible. Now if I can find the time to get them painted.
Of course, you can do it the other way round, too. But I found it easier to mask the blacked out inner section because you´ll see pretty easy where the spokes begin and end...
