Doe's anyone know where I can get the part's to rebuild my manual steering box ?
I went to the auto part's and all's they have is the whole kit for a power steering box $50.00
I don't want to buy all that stuff that I don't need.

the only thing i can think of, is try the dealer, or see if you can find out if corvair boxes are the same. i think they all had manual steering. a P/S kit isn't going to do you any good no matter how many parts are in it.

or maybe try to find the part # of each part you want for the rebuild in a manual, and go from there. maybe try 1968firebird.org for GM #s

maybe someone's done it before and can better advise, or maybe someone's swapped to P/S and/or has a good manual box layin' around to sell you.

I just want to rebuild one to take the play out of my steering wheel.
