Cleaning out my garage this weekend. Rummaging through the piles of auto parts, I found some stuff that doesn't seem to belong to any Firebird. Anyone recognize what application these are for?
2 bbl air cleaner (been sitting on an Olds 2Jet but doesn't really fit the carb, look at that dent...)
Jeremy´s correct, the rear bumper brackets belong to a 69 Camaro. They are reproduced by Classic Headquarter´s, too, and sold at Rick´s First Generation Camaro for USD 43.99 resp. 15.99:
It looks like mid 70's with that nose and big dent for HEI. And then, whatever it was had a tiny carb. Probably Chevy. Maybe a 75 Nova/Impala 6 cylinder...
Bjorn, one man's junk could be another man's treasure...
\ very true.....they usually stay as "junk" in my garage for years...and 2 weeks after thrown away become 'very valuable'...
That reminds me of that 'Sold It On eBay' funny song.... and it's true..... Like those bumper brackets; They may be reproed now but if those are originals, expect to get more than a repop price. Most collectors appreciate$$$ the difference.
Concerning the air cleaner -- no clue... Perhaps you once again show it turned around to see the up side.
Thomas, here's the other side. Seems the snout is pointing in the "wrong" direction. Searched the inside of the cleaner, but can't find a part number anywhere.

The snorkel's direction would depend on which side the exhaust heat riser 'stove' is on.
