I have accumulated lots of stuff that I will be selling off in the next few weeks but I am unsure of what price to ask for my pair of 67 caliper brackets. I plan on posting all the parts on here before letting what's left loose on ebay. What do these normally go for? they are in great shape. Normally I price based on what I see posted here, on ebay, and in the repo catalogs but I haven't seen these things anywhere
Also I have a pair of the 67 two piece rotors. One of the discs has a deep groove in one side; like 1/8" deep by 1/2" wide. I thought something must've gotten stuck in there to scar the disc this bad but then someone told me that means it's original and the factory did this so as an indicator for when you cannot turn down the disc anymore (once the groove is gone the disc is no good). This groove is only present on one of my discs. so does this groove really have a meaning or does it just mean my disc is screwed up?
here's a few pictures. first is the brackets. second is the groovy disc. third is the other disc. fourth is both discs
The factory groove doesn't look like that. It's much narrower, and centered in the rotor's machined outer surface. I'll see if I can get you a pic later. And if you machined the rotor all the way to the bottom of the groove, you wouldn't have much rotor left.
