Help me! I finally got an original antenna for my 69 bird (it's oem and looks all of 35 years old)...I just can't figure out how to install it. It's a front mounted antenna.
Do I need to remove the fender or is there an easier way?

should be able to unhook right there at the fender and open the passenger side door and see the cable unhook from radio and pull it out.

I don't know much about the 7's & 8's, but the 9's seem impossible with the door/fende in place. If there is an existing cable, you may be able to use it as a fish wire. Maybe someone else can show you an easier way, but I think that you'll have to pull the door, or break the bottom of the fender. My factory service manual doesn't explain the operation, but it illustrates the routing with the door removed.
