Scored an 84 Wellcraft 18' bowrider for free from a friend. It supposedly ran great a few years ago but it's been sitting and now has a termite problem. It's a Mercruiser I/O and was supposedly "really fast" so I'm hoping it's at least a V6 or maybe a V8? Hopefully I can drag it home this weekend so I should be able to fully check it out.

Nice find! I'm looking to get back into boating myself.

Oh now your in for it... a friend up here Chris Porter, known as Topless H.O. ended up getting hooked on speed boats, then needed more... it got so bad he sold his 350 H.O. Convertible to buy another boat that went even faster than the one he had etc...

Just be careful! smile

(Congrats) - Brett!

I too was thinking of getting one again...but those gas prices scare the poop out of me...as those things can suck $100 of fuel in the blink of an eye...sure are fun tho!

yessir!

I filled up my two SeaDoos this past Monday morning. $85.00 each to fill them up.

It was an expensive day on the water.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
I feel like I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

A friend of mine use to own a 18' 60's vintage Chris Craft I/O. It sported a Buick odd fire V-6 that ran in the opposite direction from the automotive version. It was a great boat for water skiing on the Scioto River in our younger days.
