I'm having a hard time getting the power top frame adjusted ( no top on), Ive tried moving the top hinge bolts back forward,up,down and every way. It seems the header is too far forward. I already have it adjusted as far back as it will go but I can not get the plastic bumpers to rest down on the visor brackets. when I remove it from the frame itself it fits fine ! I've played with the adjustmets on the control link as well with no help.

I've been throught the Body Service manual but im going in circles... can anybody give some help ????

The bracket that the top latch is on is addjustable in or out a couple inches.By addjusting the bolts on bolth sides (near the latch) It lets the whole front header move in or out.

I've adjusted the header bow all the way back.

I'ts like the windshield frame on the driver side is further back by about 3/8 of an inch. I wonder what tolerances the body was held to during assy. I recall the top fitting fine before I took it appart.

Have you loosened the three large bolts on each side that hold the frame to the body?

With those three bolts in the back, you're going to need to lift up and push back to get the frame to go back.

A second set of hands is ideal. The top is heavy, and you may not be able to push push/pull/lift alone. Good luck.
