They will not come on with just a flip of the switch. But if I turn on my high beams. Some times they do some times they don't. Or is the headlight switch just bad? Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Mine acted like that when the dimmer was bad.

Yep pull the carpet to get a better look. Found loose screw. Imagine that!

The dimmer gets it's ground from being screwed to the floor. If you do not get a good solid ground, it will act exactly as you state.

if your low beam (outboard) lights aren't working, and they are when the high beams are on, you may want to check the outboard lamps. I say this because the outboard lamps have two filaments, one for low and one for high. You may have both low beam lamp filaments blown. It's happened to me. It could also have something to do with the low/high beam switch.
