Does the Eastwood Chassis Black require a primer first? I've got my subframe down to bare metal. I have some good self etching primer, but was told may not be good under the Eastwood. The Eastwood can says either way primer or no prime. thanks.
I would use a compatible primer, you will get better adhesion and protection in the long run....especially for a component tha gets a lot of wear and tear...I used POR15 and then their chassis black, but I'm sure Eastwood has a good base for theirs...
Thanks guys, I'll call Eastwood tomorrow and see what they recommend (probably their cleaner, primer, etc). The can says you can paint right over bare metal no primer required.
