Everything under the hood for the AC is new. I had the AC pumped down and blows cold. The AC guy had to hot wire under the hood to test it since the switch on the dash doesnt work for some reason.
Any place to start?? The fuse seems fine. How can i test without ripping out the dash??
If he narrowed it down to the switch then 'that's that'. IF you have another good switch then you could fish the connector out and test it with the good switch to be sure....
here is the thing. none of the ac switches on the dash work. the blower or compressor. what about the vaccuum lines that run under the dash. can that be the cause.
If you take a look up at the switch you can see the wiring connector. Take that off and jumper it for the final test. Of course the radio is right in the freakin' way! You can also get at it if you take out the glove box liner.
The switch just supplies power. The clutch gets the ground from the engine. Since the techie hotwired the clutch and it worked then it's just a power supply problem.
Ok. new update. I have cold air flowing out the bottom ducts. YEAH!!!
However, The air is not coming out the dash vents. is that controlled by the levers on the dash or is a vacuum line for one of the flappers disconnected????
All valves (except the temp control door) are controlled by vacuum motors. If I remeber right there are two on the heater box and one on the kick panel, oh yea and the one inside the cowl. It should be the motor that is on the back side of the heater box, between the box and the firewall. It should direct the airflow out to the dash vents (center and both eyeballs.) I'll try to find that diagram of the lines, but it may take me a while.

pixs help some. im just not sure which hose (colored lines on them) go to which diaphragm valve. I think the one to the cowl, kick panel and the driver side i have correct. it is the 2 that go thru the fire wall and the 3rd to the diaphragm valve flapper on the back of the inside air box (very hard to reach when installed) that im not sure which is which.
