I have a spare '67-8 door, with the holes. It's also is missing the badge. It will need reconditioned (painted), $25 + S&H.
I bought it to swap with my original. But I found one in better condition, and kept the badge. I think they should have kept it through all FGF's. One thing to think about is keeping the factory door in original shape.
Guys, I know the '69's didn't get them at all. I just like the little 'bird ridin' along. I'll take pics if needed.
I would be interested in the glovebox door if it just needs paint, good idea to keep the original intact. I have read in the forum that some of the 68 deluxe cars did get the emblem, I am guessing mine did not since it's pretty original but I like the emblem too much. Please send a photo of the door when you get a chance....hopefully it's pretty easy to match the black dash up.

Yea, all it needs is a good sanding and fresh paint. Is your interior black? If so it's easy to match, it's a low gloss mix. I'll try to get a pic later today for ya.
My interior did not come with one either. I have a spare bird to put on it though. I though I might take a dremel and cut off the prongs on the back then place some picture frame double sided tape on the back rather than try and cut my own holes.
Paul, I installed one on my old glove box ,before I found this one... I only drilled the one hole , to "hang" it with , removed the guide and put a dab of silicone on the back to keep it from rotating...
There is surface rust on the bottom and in areas of the back. Sanding will take care of it, with no filler needed. A good coat of primer and paint and you're good to go.
If I were to buy the spare glovebox door, how do you mount the emblem to it with the speed nuts? Is there an easy way to remove the cup tray bracket attached on the back? Could I just do as 68fuego suggested and use some 3M attachment tape and shave off the speed nut posts from the emblem?
The posts on the back of the badge use a press fit clip. The back (cup tray) and front of the door don't come apart. 3M automotive tape is one alternative. Attaching the badge is a matter of preference.
The emblem I got from OER has a post and rear compression type nut that installs from the back. Guess I will be going the tape route and cutting off the rear posts. Thanks for the offer to sell the glove box lid it would have been a good option if I had the correct emblem mount. Thanks colorado68 for the measurements even though I won't end up drilling the holes I will will use them for the correct placement.
I looked at it again today and it has a nut style compression clip. I looked at the Classic catalog to double check and I did see they offered the barrel clips you mentioned. Maybe I got the wrong fastner by mistake, it would be my luck Think I'll just stick (no pun intended) to using the tape that way I don't have to change out or drill my existing door.
I also need to put on the 400 trunk emblem, what's your thoughts on tape or drilling for that.

Personally, i would drill for the emblems. There should be nut provisions underneath the decklid for you to see roughly where the emblem posts go and i believe there is a post/posts here that include the proper dimensions for you to be able to drill in the appropriate location on the decklid itself. Besides, you wouldn't want it to blow off the car when you launch it
