I need an engine cradle to store my motor when it comes out. Any one know of a cheaper supplier?

If you plan on draining all fluids, Q's method of inserting casters in the bellhousing holes and standing the engine up on end works great. I have my spare 400 shortblock under my workbench, it takes very little space that way.

And a 1000 lb for $70
Our local store keeps'm in stock.

Not as much space saving, but handy.
I have 2.

If you want real cheap, make one out of 2x4's, 4x4's, 2x6's, 2x8's, or whatever.
Then get casters from Harbor Freight.
Made 2 from scrap lumber.

I was going to do the caster idea in the back, but I want to keep the heads on.

I will check out Harbor Freight or use up some of the scrap wood in the shed.

The cheapest way: grab a shopping cart and cut the top (basket) off. Instant engine cradle.

Uncut carts are also good for cleaning and rinsing off parts with the garden hise.

I forgot all about the shopping cart idea. I don't have a torch, do you think a sawzall will slice through it? Does anyone happen to have a pic of a shopping cart in use?
