fan is not working, relay switch was just clicking so i replaced it. Still not working and new relay is just clicking. Whats my next option?I hope its not removing the fan itself because it looks like I'd have to take the front quarter off. Its a 69 hardtop with air. Thanks Ted
Ted, where did you find a relay for your '69? I have a bad (non-clicking) relay and a bad heater resistor block. I need to find both parts. I replaced the blower motor because it was very very hard to spin. Battery, tray, hood hinge bolts, fender, and most of the inner wheelwell bolts just to get to the blower motor.

BTW, can someone help me troubleshoot this circuit? I have no fan at any speed, which is to be expected with bad relay and resistor. Is there any way to test blower motor on or off car before putting the fender back on and before finding the resistor and relay?

to test the fan itself run a jumper wire from the battery to the connector blade on the fan. the fan grounds to the firewall when it is bolted in place. it should run at full speed.
out of the car you would also need to clip a jumper wire from the fan body to a ground.
thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Not surprised the old blower didn't turn when connected (terminal to battery +, blower flange to battery -). The brand new replacement blower doesn't work either. And the relay had been plugged in for so long when I tried to pull the harness connector, the relay came apart. I'm having trouble finding one with matching connections. Any suggestions on where to find correct relay and resistor?
