I recently lowered my car about 1 1/2 inches and the nice new KYB shocks are bottoming out in the front end. Any recommendations on which shock to go with given the new ride height?
Are you talking about shocks or springs? If the latter ones are meant: Hotchkis. Will lower the front 2". However, very stiff ride. I have no problem using them with my KYB Gas-a-just Monotubes...
Just looking for front shocks. I installed new front end springs, KYB shocks, the large stabalizer bar, and then decided to lower the car. So, I cut 1 1/2 inches out of the front springs. reinstalled them, and put Hotchkis lowering rear end springs in.
When I let the car down, the front end shocks made a lot of liquid rushing noise. Now when I push down on the front end, it bounces up and down in small quick bounces like it's riding on the springs.
Also, I heard from someone else in this forum that their shocks bottomed out when they cut their front springs.
I think I have the KYB shocks in the link you provided, but I'll have to find out. Maybe their a different hight than what I have.
