Went to order a book last night online and went through the websites checkout but it mentioned my CC info did not match my billing info so it could not process the order.I tried this several times.I checked my banking info online tonight and it looks like i ordered three books as my credit card balance increased by about that much.I phoned my CC company and inquired but because it is fresh info they have no clue where the money is going as of yet.I have just contacted the seller and am awaiting a response. The book is a bodybuilding book and the seller is also the author (purchasing from his website)who also writes for major bodybuilding magazines.Hopefully i can rectify this with him as he does seem like a nice guy online and has a great reputation in the bodybuilding community but just in case...what can i do to ensure i am not footing the bill for three NOT CHEAP books? Can i have my CC company deny payment for the other two?
I have never used my CC online other than for Ebay and have had no issues with them so this is uncharted waters for me.Money is not growing on trees around here for me (my kids think so smile )so I cannot really afford to be out the extra funds.
Thanks,

David smile

I think you can place a "back-order" with your credit card company within a few days if you made a mistake.

David, sometimes the credit card will show a temporary hold...byt only one charge goes thru..
I did that a year ago when attempting to pay a redlight camera ticket online, $75...

didnt take, didnt take, didnt take ,but the 4th did...
next day I checked my CC online, 4 charges!

I called the place ,they said not to worry...but following day still 4 charges, I called again and asked why it was still 4 , not one...she couldnt explain it ,so I asked (tounge in cheek) if I had 3 "credits" and would have to run the red light 3 more times to get my moneys worth! lol

she said "NO, DONT DO THAT!"

4 days later the "other" charges cleared...

No steriods here.Natural all the way.I do use a few supplements (protein shakes, multi vitamins and a nitric oxide) and try and eat very healthy.I am interested in entering an amatuer natural masters competition possibly in a year or two but that may be too much dedication for me.To place well you usually need to be 4-6% bodyfat.I am currently in the 10-12% range as i am doing a bulk/cut combo.Trying to keep my weight range by replacing fat with lean muscle.I am currently sitting around 230lbs well defined @ 6'1" to get. To the BF% required to place well from my current weight i'm looking at dropping close to 30lbs.It's like making a 12 second 1/4 mile car into a 10 second car.Doesn't sound like much but it is. Started off doing this to strengthen some tired old muscles and it's working real well.Amazing how you were once really strong and then in your mind you think you still are and your body tells you otherwise.

Still waiting for credit card company to show what went through.Probably tomorrow. I did what happened to you Bjorn, tried it a couple of times and nothing! I like your reply to them LOL laugh

I hope it all clears up for you.

I learned a lesson with websites that do not have "https" at the beginning of them. The "s" indicates a secure website, and I have great results using them.

I ordered a CD once from some website about a few years a ago and received the CD. There was no "https" only "http" at the front of the website. About a week later, an LA cop call me with all my personal information; name, ssn, address, phone#, etc. It was a little creepy. He told me they had busted a ring of people in a hotel stealing CC information. Not sure how they do it, but I was pissed.

I researched his name and he was true.

I stopped that card and requested a new one.

I'm a little more cautious now.

I don't mean to worry you, but want to pass on that bit of knowledge.

At 6'1 and 230, I think you should show up and punch someone in the face.

Best of luck with this and in future competitions.
