My mechanic says it's time to do an engine rebuild on my 70 Formula 400. He does great work but he is backlogged for 6 months. I need an engine for my 69 and am thinking of going with a Crate Engine for my 69 and using it for 6 months in my 70 while it's numbers matching engine is being rebuilt and then bolt it into the 69.

I've been looking on the web for Pontiac performance crate engines. There is a builder on ebay called "Flash Automotive" who has several offerings. Has anyone here had any experience with this company? I would also appreciate any recommendations of reputable performance crate builders. Thanks John

Sounds like a lot of engine swapping for such a short service time. Why not just wait until your builder can do the motor?

As far as the eBay builder... d'know. Always taking a chance there. A couple come to mind, Butler and talk to Tom (Banshee).
