Hammered put a TKO 600 in his. From his HPP article it says TKO 600 with Hurst shifter mated to a McLeod Street Twin clutch and flywheel retaining the factory bellhousing. He had a custom, steel driveshaft to the original 8.2in axle with Detroit Locker posi and 3:55:1 gears. His dyno test was 529hp@5800rpm. You might want to PM him if you have more questions.

The T56 is another popular option to put in older cars. You can check pro-touring.com about transmission options and info. I would PM Hammered. I'm sure he did some research on options before he put in his TKO 600.
