I purchased a front end kit from PST and am having a local shop install it as we speak. The shop called back this afternoon and said to use the rubber bushings because otherwise the car will sqeak like crazy. This is the 2nd time I have heard this from the "pros" but I haven't seen any one on this forum say any bad things about PST. I gave in and said ok. I guess I could call back in the morning if I wanted to go back to the poly G bushings. Can anyone let me know what the real story is? Thanks for any help.
I don't know the scoop on the bushings, but I have spent a lifetime in the grease pit and want to make a comment from the grease pit perspective: Why didn't someone tell you that as soon as you dropped off the car?
as far as the bushings are concerned only poly urethane will squeak like hell not poly graphite i too have ordered the suspension kit all with poly impregnated bushings i say go with the polt install if its the poly graphite stuff
Polygraphite will not squeak. Manufacturers began impregnating graphite into polyurethane to eliminate the squeaking so common to polyurethane. Many car guys don't even know of polygraphite and often get the two confused.
I have installed complete polygraphite kits on many cars with wonderful results. I'm currently installing a kit on my Firebird. Go with it.
