I just recently pickup a 67 Firebird with a 400. The engine is completely rebuilt with new carb. Appears to be setup right including the timing, points and distributor. It just runs rich.

Can i get a few pointers on which direction to go.?? thanks,.

loose carb bolts or a vaccume leak. some times the carb base is loose. to check just try to twist the carb. if there is play, then the scews are loose on the base of the carb.
