Hello all, after attending this fine website for almost four years now, I find this post one of the hardest to write, but I think its time to come clean. For years my signature, and all my posts, referred to my pride and joy- a 400HO convertible Firebird. The fact is, I don't have a 400HO, I don't have a convertible, I don't even have a Firebird. I saw a picture of one in a magazine, and I thought it looked cool. Then I found this site, with the friendly, tight-knit community, and I just wanted to be part of it. So, I made up a "virtual reality" if you will, about a car and a life that does not exist. The truth is I am a 22 year old unemployed hamburger flipper, and I live in my parents basement. The only car I ever owned was my Dad's old LeBaron, and after I wrapped it around a telephone pole I could never afford another car. I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me for my deceit. I never meant any bad intentions, I just wanted to create a fake world for me that was different than what I really live every day. You all have been great, and I wish you well, but I think its time for me to move out of my Parents' basement and start to face the real world. regards.

Wow, I am speechless. A smack in the face.
It's like somebody decimating a perfectly good, numbers-matching FB 400 with a Chebby motor, but worse.

I think you should repent by driving all the way out to my house and helping me pull my 455 back out of my car to replace the oil pan seal.
Your station will be down on the garage floor.

I would, if I had a car. If you can pay bus fare, I'll be there. Heck, I've got nothing else to do.

I am OUTRAGED at this complete lack of regard for you FORMER friends here at this great site.
How dare you disparage the time honored tradition of honesty and integrity that can be only seen on the web. When Al Gore launched the world wide web it was understood that the only thing that is worse than global warming causing conservatives is a liar on the web.
Your apology is NOT accepted and I must ask you to leave immediately. Harrumph!

Who cares if you have a car or not, if you still enjoy the FGFs, you're welcome in my opinion.
Thanks for being honest.

Hey Z, I`ll pay your bus fare! IF you will take the bus...I did once from LA to Houston...33 hrs! and people complain about flying...lol...the only people on that bus were people afraid of flying or the ones that cant afford a car! and every two hrs they stop 10 minutes at a McD...so people can smoke and buy "food"... If you want to ride over here or to help Salmon to pull the engine in Norman ,OK......I`ll buy your ticket ,if you promise to take the ride!

I'll stop posting, if that's what everybody wants, but I really don't want to leave. I know I've been deceiving everyone, and that's not right, but I want to make things right, and someday be able to say I really do have a Firebird.

I am shocked and awed by the deceiptfull nature of all your previous postings. All the PM's, the things you said; were they real? What about the links you sent, did you even watch them yourself? It's like everything I ever believed in has been taken away, like the ground beneath my feet has fell down, and I am tumbling, I don't know left from right or up from down anymore...
I think I need some time to let this sink in..
I think it is better if you don't post anything here for a while. In time, people tend to be forgiving, but the wounds are just too fresh, too deep.
I'm sorry, I must go and think now. Please don't PM me..

Hang on - Mustang person here too. I have a 2006 V6. It's my 3rd 'Stang.
Mustang "II's" were '74 - '78. An '83 would be a Fox platform. I had an '88 GT.

it's the factitious disorder again... I've met many people with this..
first wife... said she loved me, NOT.. sued me for everything I had in the divorce.
bought a 77 Grand Fury once... POS.. guy said it ran great, it didn't... crapped out in 3 weeks...
countless people I have hired... said they would do a good job, yeah right
I had a dog once that was a big sissy, st bernard, that was a huge disappontment
various girlfriends had fake... well on second thought, I didn't mind that really..
so you are forgiven in my book.. let he who lives in glass houses run naked for all to see... or something like that...
It's only a hobby... It onl a hob.. it o ob.

Hmmm, Coming clean, on April 1st? Nah, must just be a coincedence. If a tree falls in the woods, and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound? If someone posts an April Fools joke, but everyone either figures it out or is playing along- is it still a joke?Okay, okay, okay, I give up, you guys are just too sharp. Granted, not my best material. This was actually my "plan B" April Fools joke, hastily put together this morning. Plan A would have required advanced planning with fellow co-conspirators, which I just didn't have time for Also, I highly suspect at least one other person is already doing my "plan A". Special thanks for my last minute co-conspirators, for dragging this out as long as we could. (you know who you are) Happy April Fools day to everyone, and I'm looking forward to next year! I'd better start planning now......

I don't believe a word of it. It's all just a big April's Fool joke. He's probably driving his firebird right now! AhHah, he beat me with a confession.

All the girls listened up as he said he had a mustang, until they saw it...then they laughed...is looked like a chevette all puffed up...lol... I'm not hating stangs, had an 03 SVT Cobra that scared the daylights out of me, and I am going to push my oldest to get a fox body vert...ok, there I said it, now you can hate me...lol

You know, the nice thing about being our age, is that I can tell all of you straight out that I'm going to prank you again next year, but by the time next year rolls around, its still going to be a surprise for everybody!

Nice story. Being from California, and only 20 minutes from T.O., I knew as soon as you wrote I live in my parents basement. T that it was the day for such a wonderful story. I'll help you out with Plan A for next year. Look me up if you decide to come to the Valley. Q
