Hello, My vin's model number is 22367 but I have the body broadcast sheet for my car with the correct serial number and the model number is 22467. Why the difference? The registry says 67firebird conv. for one and esprit for the other. Thanks
The information contained on the body tag is not a line by line reproduction of the VIN tag. The two data plates contained different information. The VIN was used for permanent identification. The body tag (on the cowl) has the paint code, trim code, build date and other information about the car.
The Body Broadcast has the body tag info and much more. The series are as shown:
The 22467 indicates you have a standard interior, custom trim car or a V-8 convertible depending on which source you reference. If the car is fairly original, I'd enjoy seeing a photo of the front seat area.
If you order a PHS packet from http://phs-online.com you will get a lot more info about the way your car was built.

It didn't make sense to me either, but when I registered I tried both numbers and the 467 came up on this site as an esprit. I just wondered why the two different numbers. My car isn't original so a photo wouldn't help much. Thanks
Yes it's a V8 convertible and it does have the items you mentioned, but I added them over the years so no help there. It's not a big deal just thought it was odd to have both numbers. Steve
