I passed through the Detroit Airport again today. As I ususally do, I stopped at the GM Store. Today, they had the Solstice Coupe on display. It was beautiful. The styling was absolutely fantastic. They did a great job. I hope they can sell enough of them to keep Solstice alive.
If you were going to spend that kind of money on a small car, why wouldn't you buy a convertible?
Must just be me....?

I like the looks , but its not practical....how do you see out the side windows? I havent seen a coupe , but have watched friends of mine sit in the vert....and the ones taller than I, have a problem seeing out front...(Im 5' 8") they tend to 'duck' to see under the top of the w/s header bar...so how does the side view work?

I have to do that a bit in my 68! 'specially at red lites I have to look over, and then duck under a bit LOL.
At least I thought the coupe at least had a targa top?
I do that in my 69, duck, to see lights when I`m stopped, since I lowered the front, they are usually right there behind the visor or header bar
but look at the roof line on the side of that Solstice coupe! I doubt that even I could see out...the side looks cool though...yes it looks like a pop out targa roof

This looks even more like it may
..still, I prefer the ragtop, more air for the hair...

The coupe is different. Besides my head burns. In-person you look down on the car rather than straight-on as in Wouter's post. It looks different from that angle and it looks good. I love wagons too, but I think this is more akin to an MGB GT.
That's it Dave! I have driven down the Pacific Coast Highway from Ventura to LA only once in my life. It happened to be in a Mustang Convertible. The cap would lift above 70 mph. I had no choice but to wear it backwards. Awesome drive though.

I did that drive in my new 83 Prelude 5 spd. way back when...nice run!
