Sorry to say that everything I have read about repops of these has been about how bad they fit. I am not sure anyone has had any good luck.
You are better off buying used ones and having them re-chromed.
Sorry!

I also purchased an aftermarmet set. I tried with no luck to install them. I then picked up a used set and was done. I have heard some people were able to install them, but I gave up.
I did that 8 yrs ago...unlucky for me I threw the old ones out after the repops arrived (they 'looked' good)...and when we installed the new next week, we found bad fit (trash already picked up!...lesson: NEVER, EVER THROW ORIG STUFF OUT! at least not until you got the repop stuff installed! ;))...my buddy (prof restorer) had a h$ll of a time trying to get them to fit right....I`ve left them on , but the fit in the passenger upper corner is still not quite right...but now barely noticeable, after he 'worked them over'....IF you still have the origs , you better fix those ,unless totally rusted thru...
I even had some bad rust on mine, the replating shop brazed them and ground the back down and the replated result was very good. I had mine done with just the nickel (?) coating I believe on their recommendation when I asked for the satin look, and am very happy after 2 years on.
hey there thanks for the advice i finally did get mine on lots of flat head screw driver tricks and prying it does look really good though.. dosnt fit as good as the originals but i am very happy with them... thanks again..
