hey there my 69 conv is a wiring nightmare in the tail light area... I can get it so the lights all work and my turn signals work but my break light are always on??? i check the switch on the break petal it is in proper working order i must have a wire switched or bad ground somewhere.. I looked up a wiring diagram on the internet at www.nvautobdy.com according to that if i am reading it right the yellow wire goes to it i do not have any voltage coming through that wire though.. any help and i will be very greatfull i would like to take it on a drive but not without my breaklights... please help me out..

Most common cause is a backup bulb (single filament/single pin) in a tail/brake lamp socket (dual pin/dual filament)

this has 2 filaments in the inner socket the turn signals do work on the outside just the inner ones towards the bird emblem that opens the trunk stay really bright without the brake being on..

Check your brake lamp switch at the brake pedal.
Do you have the two piece sockets with the removable insert? If so, pull straight out gently to remove the insert from the socket (lamps off) and rotate 180 degrees and reinstall. If no improvement, put them back.
