When I purchased my 68' the previous owner had replaced the front seat covers 3-4 years ago (purchased from CI). The orig rear seat covers were not replaced and have been re-colored black (orig interior was red). I called CI to get the covers for the rear seats but they will only sell a complete set (Front + Rear). The salesman told me they had too many complaints\returns due to the front-rear seats not matching well when installed seperately. Looking for advise on what to do and were to purchase, I would hate to replace the front seats again since they look great already. I have seen a few threads that mention PUI as good brand to use and also curious who makes the covers for CI? Has anyone else had issues matching front-rear seat covers for 68' deluxe in black?
I used PUI and they look and fit well. Year One sells them seperately.
PUI makes the covers for most of the suppliers out there. Make sure you get some new cotton batting and a set of hog ring pliers and rings as well. The back seat is fairly easy to recover.
I used PUI (from Classic) as well and they came out beautiful.
I did all three seats at once though.

Thanks for the replies, did not know the coupe & conv had different covers. What are the differences? I couldn't find in the parts catalogs, only see with or without fold down option.
Rear seats on the vert are smaller. Some catalogs sell the rear seat covers that fit either. I guess you just end up with a little extra fabric on a vert.
I just talked to Ames yesterday on this. They list a rear seat cover for 67-9 (standard interior) as all the same. Only different one was that fold down seat. I called and asked about the vert rear seat, and they claim the coupe and vert rear are the same.
